Minimal Wardrobe Haul: White Shirts, Knits & Denim

I know a lot of fashionistas who believe you can't stand out by being basic, but let's be real, you can never go wrong with "basic" white shirts, denim and knitwear. Really, they are the most basic, and yet versatile pieces in a wardrobe... minimalist or not.

It's been an interesting experience building my minimal wardrobe with Femme Luxe pieces, and this time, I thought it was time to add some white pieces to my collection. I mentioned in my Try-on Haul Video that my wardrobe was 80% black, so I made a pact to try and add other minimal tones to my hauls... so let's take a look at what I picked this time.
This is supposed to be a dress and a size 14 too, but I'm surprised it is way too short for me. However, I intend to slay this piece with skirts, dresses, leggings, and denim... watch out for it on this blog. For this post, I styled it with my strappy bodycon dress and a sling-back shallow mouth shoe for Sunday service. Harmattan (a lesser version of winter) is around the corner too, and knitwears will come in handy for the cold weather. Perfect timing!
I love shirts, and I was excited to find a size 14 in this piece. This shirt dress can be styled with Femme Luxe Jade Knitted Corset Top, but for this post, I paired it with a gingham skinny pants. I actually wore this look to work, though for a size fourteen, the blouse was quite tight. Nevertheless, I really love it.
This dress can be teamed with a micro mini bag and killer heels for an effortlessly sexy look, I don't see me wearing this as a dress, ever!. I'd rather pair it with a short, mini skirt or pants. In this post,  I dressed it down with a leggings and converse for a casual look on a Saturday.
These jeans can be used on any occasion, I wore it two ways, once for a party with the kids and the second time for work. For the party, I teamed it with a denim shirt as well, alongside leopard print trainers, while I paired it with a navy blue turtle neck bodycon blouse for work. To go for a more classy look, you can throw on a blazer.

White shirts, knits, and denim are evergreen wardrobe staples that every minimalist has to have. Like, you literally can't say you have a minimal wardrobe without whites and nudes or denim. So I'm glad I have started incorporating them in my wardrobe, stay tuned on this blog for more wardrobe/style updates.
