I'm so excited to finally share this update on my current collaboration with Savud World. SAVUD is a Nigerian Fashion House which deals on clothings as well as customized interiors decorations. They make customised chairs, throw pillows, cushions, etc. to suit your taste and style. Early this year, we decided to move our business relationship to another level by kicking off a collaboration. Hence this is the first of many more to come.
For so long, my wardrobe has lacked an ankara touch, and that is because you wouldn't catch me wearing anything ankara because of the idea of 'native' and the typical 'six-pieces' skirt and blouse or gown styles in the past made it a No-No for me. However, thanks to the change in style: ankara has become more acceptable as not just native, but also as a formal attire, hence my choice of style.
This print was so easy to choose being that it is white and black. I love the 'polka-dotish' pattern of this material. I had it for so long, waiting for the perfect time to use it, and girl, "Do I love this outfit?" I knew I wouldn't regret choosing this style when I did, and I must confess, I styled it 3 ways in one week. So stay tuned to see the other ways I wore this it.
The only challenge, which is not much of challenge is how to constantly get ankara materials IN WHITE AND BLACK or other colors in my wardrobe palette. I'm sure it's not an impossible fit, so I look forward to more beautiful style explorations with Savud World and all kinds of prints.
What do you think about this outfit? I would love to know your thoughts...so feel free to share in the comments section below and don't forget to check out Savud world to meet your style need.
